Individual Race Registration: $30
Teams of Four: $100
The 10 Kilometer run/walk starts at 8 a.m. on April 20th just north of the intersection of Owl Creek Rd. and Jones Bar Rd. The course follows Jones Bar Road on its 2-mile descent to the banks of the Wild and Scenic South Yuba River. From the river, participants ascend a steep section of the course along the salmon ladder where it meets the independence trail. The course then loops back towards Jones Bar road meeting the road halfway to the top. The course finishes where it started.
Before Jones Bar Rd. turns to gravel there is a city maintained stretch that the run begins and ends on. This is an approximately 1,500 ft stretch of road. The stretch of road goes from just after Owl Creek Rd. to just after McKitrick Rd. To control traffic, cones will be placed 3 ft from the left edge of Jones Bar Rd. along this stretch. Cones will have signage keeping runners on the correct side of the cones and cars on the other. There are two cross roads that this path will encounter, Yuba Ridge Dr. and McKitrick Rd. To maintain traffic flow and safety of participants, a volunteer traffic director will be stationed at each cross road. Click here to see the trail map.
