American River Earth Day Cleanup and Watershed Enrichment Day

Join Protect American River Canyons for our annual Earth Day Cleanup and educational activities in the Confluence and Mineral Bar Areas of the Auburn State Recreation Area.
There will be an iNaturalist Bio Blitz and Historic Bridges Hike in the Confluence Area beginning at 9:00 AM. Pre load the iNaturalist application on your smart phones.
Protect American River Canyon’s AuburnSRA River and Trail maps and snacks will be available free for cleanup volunteers. Monarch Milkweed starter plants will be available for sale.
Parking is free in the morning for cleanup volunteers only.
DIRECTIONS: From Auburn take Hwy 49 South 3 miles to the Hwy 49 river crossing and Confluence Area. The Earth Day Cleanup iNaturalist and Historic Bridges hike meets at the old Auburn-Foresthill curved bridge.
For the Colfax Area North Fork American River cleanup take Colfax-Iowa Hill Road turnoff near the Indian Cemetary on Canyon Way 3 miles to the Mineral Bar campground.
Bring smart phones and/or pre load the iNaturalist application for the American River Confluence Bio Blitz.
